What Is Fondant? Fondant, also known as Rolled Fondant, is a thin covering of sugarpaste spread over a buttercream frosted cake. It gives a beautiful satin smooth finish that looks great to the eyes and in photos. Fondant also offers a wide variety of options for decorating your One-of-a-Kind Cake. We can combine a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and decorations to assemble a uniquely personal wedding cake. Styles range from simple and elegant to wildly fantastic. You are welcome to bring pictures and design ideas to discuss with our wedding cake consultant. Pictured below is just a sampling of our capabilities in Fondant wedding cakes.
Number of Guests
Our Fondant wedding cakes are designed for 50 or more guests with prices starting at only $8.00 per serving. Most people who select this option plan to serve 150 or more guests. (Consider our Classic and Classic Gold Wedding Cakes for smaller weddings.) A $150.00 non-refundable deposit is due when placing your order.
When to Order
If you're considering Fondant wedding cakes, you should place your order 2-3 months in advance, as these cakes often require us to obtain special decorations and other items. Most brides and grooms order their cakes 3 to 6 months in advance. If you're up against a tight deadline, we'll do our best to accommodate you. Please understand that all selections might not be available to you.
At Tiffany's Bakery all of our cakes are made with the finest ingredients and are as delicious as they are beautiful. You can choose from a wide assortment of flavors for your Fondant wedding cake. Mix and match any of the following flavors: Classic Yellow, Chocolate, Lemon, Almond, Rum, and Strawberry. The following wedding cake flavors are $.50 per serving additional: Marble, Red Velvet, Applesauce Spice, Lemon Poppy Seed, and Almond Poppy Seed. The following wedding cake flavors are $1.00 per serving additional, and the whole cake must be the same flavor: Vanilla Pound, Lemon Pound, Rum Pound, Almond Pound, Marble Pound, Banana Walnut, and Carrot. Please note that flavors are subject to change without notice.
If you're looking for a little extra flavor in your wedding cake, consider our delicious fillings. The following fillings are $.50 per serving: Lemon, Pineapple Custard, Custard, Chocolate Buttercream, Raspberry, Bavarian Cream, Strawberry Preserves, Strawberry-Pineapple, Carmel, Coconut, and Coconut Pecan.
Deluxe fillings are $1.00 per serving: Fresh Strawberries, Cream Cheese Frosting, Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Mousse, and Lemon Mousse.
Our Fondant wedding cakes are frosted in white buttercream and then covered with thinly rolled sugar-paste. For an additional charge the following options are available: Cream Cheese Frosting - $75, Chocolate Frosting - $50,
Delivery Not Available
Cakes can be picked up at Tiffany's Bakery in Clinton, MD. Your cake will be ready and waiting for you on your appointed day. It will be packaged in a sturdy box (or boxes) for easy transport. We're open Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. â€“ 6:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
